Search Enhancements
November 23, 2009
We have added numerous options to the search functionality, so here is a cheat sheet.
Searches can be general or look for specific properties. You can combine these options as needed.
General Searches
The general search can now handle multiple terms, separated by spaces.
Examples:
cool will find all sites with ‘cool’ in the name, description, or your keywords.
cool, books will find sites where both ‘cool’ and ‘books’ are used in either the name, description, or your keywords, but not necessarily together.
Specific Searches
Search options are entered by using a type (ending in a colon) followed by the search item, without any spaces between. All types have a short and long version.
The types are:
- t: checks the tags you have entered for a site (or tag:).
- u: checks the site’s url (or url:).
- s: checks the site’s name (or site:).
- d: checks the site’s description (or description:).
- n: checks your site notes (or note:).
- a: checks your account notes (or account:).
Examples:
t:cool will find all sites you have tagged as ‘cool’.
t:cool s:books will find sites you tagged as ‘cool’ that also have ‘books’ in the site’s name.
